Dr. Becca Deal is an esteemed general surgeon who brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to Cody Regional Health. Graduating from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2009, Dr. Deal continued her medical journey at Rush University in Chicago, where she completed her medical education from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, she pursued her residency in general surgery at Rush and Cook County Hospital, where she received comprehensive training and honed her surgical skills. Initially drawn to the field of medicine with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician or family medicine doctor, Dr. Deal's path took an unexpected turn during her third year of medical school. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for surgery.
Driven by the profound impact of being able to directly cure patients through surgical intervention, she found fulfillment in the ability to alleviate suffering and restore health with her skill set. Inspired by the dedication and expertise of the surgeons she encountered, Dr. Deal recognized the privilege and responsibility of guiding patients through challenging times, earning their trust, and delivering optimal outcomes. Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Deal embraces an active lifestyle.
A lover of the great outdoors, she enjoys skiing, trail running, hiking, and snowshoeing. Always eager to explore new interests, Dr. Deal is also venturing into the world of knitting, demonstrating her adventurous spirit and commitment to lifelong learning. Molly, a NCCPA board-certified Physician Assistant, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for patient-centered care to Cody Regional Health. From a small town in Colorado, Molly's journey into medicine began with a profound experience volunteering with her local fire department. Her dedication to helping others led her to pursue an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification while earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Driven by a desire to expand her impact in healthcare, Molly furthered her education, obtaining a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. Prior to her PA studies, she honed her skills as an EMT in the emergency department of one of Denver’s busiest level one trauma centers. With four years of experience in urgent care and emergency medicine, Molly is well-equipped to provide comprehensive care to her patients.
Molly's commitment to excellence extends beyond her clinical practice. She is an active member of both the Wyoming Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Known for her compassionate approach, Molly takes pride in fostering open communication with her patients, ensuring they are fully informed about their health and treatment options.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Molly finds solace in the great outdoors. Whether gardening, skiing, hiking, fishing, or camping, she enjoys spending quality time with loved ones and her dog. Returning to a rural community holds a special place in Molly's heart, and she is eager to serve the residents of Cody and the Big Horn Basin with dedication and compassion.
